Gabriela Misca博士, is a Senior Lecturer in Psychology at the OD官网APP下载. 她是儿童和家庭心理学专家,正在领导一项国际研究, 与联系合作, into the long-term effects of the 新型冠状病毒肺炎 p而且emic on families 而且 relationships.  We have published a previous blog about this study. Here she talks about the initial findings 而且 the next stage of the study:

正如健康研究发现,一些人正在遭受这种病毒的长期身体影响,即所谓的“长covid”,, 研究人员 from the OD官网APP下载, in partnership with 联系, 有没有发现大流行, lockdowns 而且 restrictions imposed will have enduring impacts on our relationships.

“There has been a complete change in our daily lives,” Professor Jan Walker, OBE, President of 联系. “疫情不可避免地在ODAPP官网生活的许多领域造成了伤害:情感健康, 关系和经济, with many people feeling the strain in their family relationships, being out of work 而且 businesses facing the possibility of permanent closure. And as we are removing the dressing off some of these wounds to see what we are left with, we need to be prepared that things might be very different in the future.”

“当ODAPP官网发布 本研究的第二阶段  而且 aim to capture the impact of the subsequent lockdowns on family life, we are sharing initial findings from the original survey”.

Almost half of the 夫妻 (45%) felt that lockdown put a real strain on their relationship 而且 a quarter reporting that worrying about the p而且emic caused tension in their relationship; 而且 a similar proportion reported that money worries placed added pressure on their relationship.

有关, almost a third of 夫妻 reported that the lockdown had a negative impact, worsening their already struggling relationships.  值得注意的是,在这些夫妇中,有三分之一是关键员工,以及配偶是关键员工的夫妇, pointing to the additional strain that they felt under.

“We have become a society plagued by high levels of fear 而且 anxiety, 而且 this fear will linger around for a long time, 就像“长冠”一样, 改变人们的行为,沃克教授说. “There will be scars 而且 we will behave differently towards each other. We need to look at how we manage this ‘long-Covid’ in our relationships going forwards.”

One of the remarkable findings of the study is that just over a third of 夫妻 (36%) felt that lockdown has been a positive experience for them; 而且 about four in 10 夫妻 reported that following lockdown they felt they were closer than before, despite also feeling tension in their relationship 而且 both partners worrying.

米斯卡博士评论说:“狭隘地关注大流行的坏处及其对ODAPP官网家庭和关系的创伤,将错过这场危机无意中给ODAPP官网带来的机会, such as the opportunity to change our ways of relating to each other that have been taken for granted; 而且 the opportunity to find better 而且 more sensitive ways to support each other in the future.”

现在, the 研究人员 have launched in the UK the second phase with a new survey: 《重新探访被解锁的家庭》  而且 would urge as many people as possible to take part.  以及寻求建立关系在过去一年中是如何发展的,并再次出现封锁, the research is also addressing questions around loneliness, 损失和恢复力. The 研究人员 invite to participate anyone who took part in the first survey, as well as new participants from a diverse range of backgrounds; 而且 are particularly keen to hear from men 而且 keyworkers.
